Sunday, December 28, 2025(1 event) Vancouver - Shaughnessy - Olympic Village - Cambie Bridge – Enjoy the panoramic scenery of Vancouver from different viewpoints. This walk takes you to Granville Island & along the Seaside Greenway to Olympic Village, Science World to Coopers’ Park, cross Cambie Bridge & return to Granville Island. There are two 5K route options: (i) walk mostly on the east side of the Seawall and back via the Rose Garden (ii) walk on trails to Beaver Lake, the Aquarium and back via the Seawall. Thursday, January 1, 2026(1 event) Vancouver - Stanley Park- Trails (Connie's Walk) – On this walk, you will enjoy magnificent views of Coal Harbour, the Brockton Point Lighthouse, Lumberman’s Arch and the Variety Kids water park. Here we turn off the Seawall into the trails. View the Japanese Canadian War Monument, the Miniature Railway, the Pavilion Gardens and the Rose Garden before enjoying more natural surroundings of trails leading to Beaver Lake and on to Second Beach. Sunday, January 4, 2026(1 event) North Vancouver - Lonsdale Quay - Edgemont Village –
Walk along the Spirit Trail, then through Mosquito Creek Park to Edgemont Village, a quaint little area with one-of-a-kind retail stores and a vibrant community. You might feel like you are in a mountain resort as Grouse Mountain is not far away. Then down to a 1950’s cabin and pond where a number of shows, including the Virgin River series, were filmed. Next comes Murdo Frazer Pitch & Putt, Heywood Park, Pemberton Heights and back to Mosquito Creek Park. Don’t miss this walk! Lots to explore. Walk 5k, 6, or 11 km. This walk is made up of two loops. The 5K Western Loop goes to the Olympic Cauldron (2010 Winter Olympics) in Jack Poole Plaza, up onto the “living roof”, then along the Coal Harbour Seaside Greenway (Seawall), all the way to Westin Bayshore Hotel. Then through some nice heritage-home neighbourhoods in the West End. The 6K Eastern Loop goes through Downtown Vancouver, around Canada Place Building along “The Canadian Trail”, Gastown & part of Chinatown, including the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park. Come Walk With Us in this peaceful northwest corner of Richmond. Starting from the Thompson Community Center we walk through residential neighbourhoods and trails passing through lush green marshlands. Upon reaching the dyke, we view the Strait of Georgia, the North Shore mountains and distant Gulf Islands peaks. Saturday, January 31, 2026(1 event) Richmond - Terra Nova - West Dyke & Railway Greenway – Come Walk With Us on part of the old railway route now converted to walking paths as we walk to the Middle Arm Dyke pathway. While walking on this dyke trail beside the Middle Arm of the Fraser River we get to watch many planes taking off and landing at the Vancouver Airport. As we continue, this Middle Arm Dyke path changes to the West Dyke path and if it is the right time of the year, you will see many herons, eagles and thousands of Snow Geese. Don’t miss this walk.
