As we move towards a safe and manageable restart, group walks will be limited to club members only, until further notice. We will follow protocols and directions from the BC Provincial Health Office as they pertain to Phase 2 Sports & Recreation. Feel free to join us if you are comfortable, and have no cold or flu symptoms. Look for specific registration and walking instructions in your weekly club email.
Click on a date to see walk details as well as the start point location and map directions to the start point. We look forward to seeing you at your next walk.
This scenic route goes through impressive Shaughnessy with its many mansions and beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park with its quarry gardens. Suitable for wheelchairs and baby strollers with slight modification of route. Washrooms available at Start/Finish and in the park.
Following part of the old railway route, now converted to walking paths, we travel to the Middle Arm Dyke pathway. The Middle Arm pathway, along the Fraser River, affords us many views of airplanes taking off and landing at the Vancouver International Airport. Continuing on the Middle Arm Dyke path, it changes to the West Dyke path and at the right time of year many herons, eagles and Snow Geese can be seen along the way.
