In general, a 5km walk can be finished in 1 hour and a 10km walk can be completed in 2 hours.

Burnaby Lake is part of the Burnaby Lake Regional Park, a wildlife sanctuary. This is a popular urban park. Watch for rare birds and many types of wildlife on land and in the water. It is a nature paradise. This is easy walking on flat trails and boardwalks. *** Registration starts 30 minutes prior to start time. All walkers must register no later than 5 minutes prior to start time. *** Distances: 6K/10K Trail Rating: 1B Immediately following the walk, you may wish to join some of your fellow walkers for lunch at a nearby eatery.
