DIRECTIONS: By car: From Hwy# 99, take Hwy #17A exit; Right on Ladner Trunk Rd (Hwy #10); Right into Trenant Park Mall; Restaurant is beside Ladner Trunk Rd. By transit: From Bridgeport Station (Canada Line), bus #601 (South Delta). On Ladner Trunk Rd, get off at 52A St, just past Ricky’s on Right.
INFORMATION: There are three routes:

 

  1. Historic Town Walk 5k & 10k (rating 1B):

       Start Point: Parking Lot Ricky’s All-Day Grill, 5239 Ladner Trunk Rd     V4K 1W4

       Description: A walk in & around the historic village of Ladner, South Delta. This charming 115 year-old fishing village has it all – dykes, marinas, parks, sloughs & a very quaint, walkable, town centre. Route passes by Memorial Park, the Fraser River & South Arm marshes along residential streets. Discover why this charming little village is one of the most popular set locations for the Lower Mainland film industry.

  2.  Pioneers and Essential Workers Walk 5k6k, 10k (rating 1B):

       Start Point: Parking Lot Ricky’s All-Day Grill, 5239 Ladner Trunk Rd     V4K 1W4

      Description: Come to Ladner and experience the residential, historical, and community infrastructures of this small community.  You will pass by a hospital, community centre, firehall and last but not least, an active Augustinian monastery.  Historic structures include the Harris Barn and Kirkland House.  Notably, the “Forest of the Future” Garden was funded by a pair of Volkssporting pioneers.  This is one of the most diverse walks offered in South Delta. The 6k route is the Pioneers Walk and the 5k route is the Essential Workers Walk.

3.  Parks Walk 6k, 7k, 10k (rating 1B):

     Start Point: Parking Lot, Ladner Harbour Park, 4905 Mcneelys Way

     Description: You will take a perimeter route that borders the scenic Fraser River Estuary. As you exit the park, proceed along Ferry Rd to the South Arm Marshes where a little bit of unexpected magic awaits you. This route also passes through Ernie Burnett Park & a rare gem of nature known only to locals so it has yet to be named. Truly, a “magical” walk!
