DIRECTIONS: By car: Start Point is 1 long block west of No 2 Rd. From Hwy #99: take Westminster Hwy westbound; Left on Garden City Rd; Right on Granville Ave, passing No. 2 Rd; Right on Lynas Lane; Left into the parking lot. By transit: Take Canada Line to Richmond – Brighouse Station, take bus #406 (Steveston), stop at Granville Ave & Lynas Lane, walk 3 mins (150m) to Start Point.

There are four routes:


  1. Burkeville 10k (rating 1B): Explore Flight Path Park located near the  secluded historical village of Burkeville, which has an aeronautical theme (most of the streets are named after airplane manufacturers).
  2. Rural Park 5k, 10k (rating 1B) : Route goes through residential neighbourhoods and on trails through lush green marshlands to get to the dykes in NW Richmond. See the Strait of Georgia and the looming North Shore mountains and distant Gulf Islands peaks (on clear days). Keep a lookout for the many herons and eagles that frequent this area.
  3. West Dyke & Railway Greenway 11k (rating 1B): Route goes west along Middle Arm Dyke, then south along West Dyke, and returns via the Railway Greenway. If it is the right time of the year, you will see many herons, eagles and thousands of Snow Geese.
  4. YVR South Terminal & Dykes 11k (rating 1B): Route goes east over the No. 2 Rd. Bridge, along the dyke system to the Coast Guard Station & YVR South Terminal. Watch airplanes take off and land – on water and on land; walk on boardwalks and see a variety of bird life.
