DIRECTIONS: By car: Drive along Granville St or West Broadway. Store is on SW corner of Granville St & West Broadway. By transit: The following buses will stop at the corner of Granville St & West Broadway: #9 (Granville/Alma/UBC-Commercial-Broadway Station/Boundary); #10 (Downtown/Granville); #14 (Hastings/Downtown-UBC) & #16 (29th Ave Station/Arbutus).

There are six routes:

 

  1. Arbutus Greenway North 6k & 10k (Rating 2B): This walk goes along residential areas in Shaughnessy, the north portion of the Arbutus Greenway and parks with views of Downtown and the North Shore mountains.
  2. Olympic Village – Cambie Bridge 6k & 10k (rating 2A) Enjoy the panoramic scenery of Vancouver from different viewpoints. This walk takes you to Granville Island & along the Seaside Greenway to Olympic Village, Science World to Coopers’ Park, cross Cambie Bridge & return to Granville Island. Check out what Granville Island has to offer as you walk around the Island. The 6K walk will only go to Charleson Park & Granville Island.
  3. Queen Elizabeth Park 5k & 10k (Rating 2A): This route goes through the beautiful mansions along Hudson St. and various streets in Shaughnessy. Then onwards to Cambie St and Queen Elizabeth Park with its gardens, public art and panoramic view of Vancouver.
  4. Quilchena Park 6k & 10k (Rating 2A): The route goes through impressive Shaughnessy with its many mansions, then to Quilchena Park and Arbutus Village. The 5k route will not go to Quilchena Park & Arbutus Village.
  5. Kensington – Mountain View 5k & 10k (rating 2B) Register at Start Point & drive to 5175 Dumfries St (Kensington Community Centre). Walk goes through residential areas and Memorial South Park. We will also walk through Mountain View Cemetery (“Where Vancouver Remembers”) – opened in 1886. Some famous Canadians are buried here. We will see the main part of the cemetery and the Jewish, Japanese and Chinese parts of the cemetery. For the 10K, there is an option to walk outside of the cemetery.
  6. Kensington – Queen Elizabeth Park 10k (rating 2B) Register at Start Point & drive to 5175 Dumfries St (Kensington Community Centre). Walk through residential East Vancouver & then the trails & pathways in Queen Elizabeth Park. Enjoy the quarry garden, arboretum & public art. Return via Nat Bailey Stadium, Riley Park and passing Mountain View Cemetery.
